How to use full spectrum CBD oil?

CBD oil consists of an oily base (usually hemp oil but it is not mandatory) and cannabidiol or CBD, the main non-psychoactive hemp molecule (does not get “high”).

For a CBD oil to be truly effective, it must contain, in addition to CBD, all the other phytocannabinoids of hemp, i.e.  around 70 different molecules including CBG, CBN, CBC, CBV. That’s what we do calls an oil “full spectrum” or “full spectrum” that is to say full spectrum. As CBD is then surrounded by all these other molecules, its effects will be boosted thanks to this entourage effect.

What dosage of CBD oil should you take?

CBD oils are typically dosed between 5% and 20% CBD and come in 10ml or 30ml dropper bottles. A 10ml bottle contains approximately 200 drops of the product. As for the concentration of CBD per drop, it obviously varies according to the percentage of CBD.

Precisely estimating the dosage of CBD oil that will be effective for everyone is very complicated at the moment since medicine is only just beginning to take a real interest in this molecule and CBD oil currently has the status of a product of current consumption or food supplement and not medication. In addition, the dosage of CBD will vary according to the individuals, their weight, their sex, their pathologies and therefore the effects they seek with CBD but also their receptivity to this molecule.

In general, the manufacturers of CBD oil recommend starting with 3 doses per day of 10mg of CBD each and gradually increasing the dosage until you find the threshold that works best for the person.

However, some people will prefer to use CBD oil occasionally, for an occasional ailment such as a painful period or as a single dose in the evening to improve their quality of sleep.

However, it should be noted that CBD oil is not a magic product or even a drug! Just because you’ve used the product once and it didn’t have the desired effect doesn’t mean that CBD isn’t working on you. You should at least use the oil daily for 10 to 15 days and do not hesitate to gradually increase the doses. Be careful though, if consuming CBD oil does not cause any undesirable side effects regardless of the dose ingested , it is not recommended to absorb too much of the product in one take. It would be completely unnecessary and unproductive. It is therefore recommended by the manufacturers not to exceed 150mg of CBD per day.

How to use CBD oil?

CBD oil is generally used sublingually: put the desired number of drops directly under your tongue and leave to act for 1 minute. The effects of CBD are usually felt after 10-15 minutes.

It is also possible to mix the drops of oil in your food or in a drink. Be careful, however, because the effects of CBD will then be felt after the digestion phase (so 1h, 1h30 after ingestion) and some of the molecules will be lost along the way.

Some people also use full spectrum CBD on the skin, CBD being a good muscle relaxer, but it can also be used for skin conditions like acne, psoriasis, burns or scars. However, for this type of use, it is recommended to give preference to CBD massage balms, creams or oils instead.
