6 Things that are Normal after the Application of Eyelash Extensions

Getting eyelash extensions is not an easy decision, especially if you are a first-timer. Once you get them, you may keep worrying over small things.

Here first you should make yourself educated about what you can expect after the application of the extensions.

This will prepare you mentally to get the extensions and also free you up from the worries after you get them.

1. Redness and Dry Eyes

Some individuals having sensitivities may experience minor redness and dry eyes immediately after the application of lash extensions.

Your lash expert will try to minimise such an occurrence for which she may ask you beforehand if you are sensitive.

In most cases, the redness and dryness will go within an hour or so and thus, you don’t need to worry. Of course, you can contact your lash technician if required.

2. No Two Lash Sets are the Same

No two sets of lashes are the same. Your lash technician customises the size, styling, curls and weights to her client’s individual eye shape, lashes’ natural condition and preferences.

Each of the lash styles looks different depending upon how the person’s eye shape is.

So, you should understand that your lashes won’t look similar to that of your friend, even though you ask for the same Fancy Lash product, for example.

3. Loss of a Few Lashes Every Day

You don’t need to worry if you see that your lashes are falling off because it’s normal to lose a few lashes (around 1 to 5) every day.

Don’t worry, if you notice them again and again (since they’re much larger than your natural lashes).

An extension gets off attached to the natural lash when it’s about to come out and it will be replaced by a new baby lash.

Some days you might lose 3-4 whereas on other days you won’t lose any. This is totally normal and doesn’t mean in any way that all your lashes are going to fall out.

4. 2-4 Weeks are Needed for an Infill

If you’re wondering about when you’ll need an infill, you can expect around 2 to 4 weeks. On an average, a 3 week period is passed when a person needs an infill.

Also sets containing more lashes like volume lash extensions from Fancy Lash will typically last longer than the ones having less. Even shorter lashes last longer.

5. Growth Cycles of Lashes Vary

Growth cycles of lashes keep varying. Thus you may notice that every few months, your lashes shed sooner than other times.

This often means that you have plenty of new growth and when you’ll visit your lash artist, she may find a lot more lashes she can lash!

Other times, they may still look awesome at 4 or 5 weeks since they haven’t shed much.

6. Itching or Red/Swollen Eyelids

There may be severe itching and/or swollen/red eyelids during the first few days of application. These might be allergic reactions and are unfortunately unavoidable. However, thankfully they are rare and are curable.

So, are you now convinced that you should get the beautiful eyelash extensions?
